Merrick & Emily’s charming southern wedding | Atlanta, GA wedding photography
Posted on September 7, 2009
This past Saturday I had a blast at Merrick & Emily’s wedding held at a beauitfully renovated old farm house in Bowdon, GA. This was a particularly special wedding to be a part of since Emily is a long-time family friend that I’ve known for a good part of my life! There were MANY great photos to choose from…enjoy & please leave a comment congratulating Merrick & Emily!
Emily’s bridal preparation took place at the Davis Clay Salon in Douglasville, GA where she drank a glass of wine while having her hair and make-up done.

I love this shot of Emily’s engagement ring…

On the other side of their toasting flutes…the Harley Davidson logo…

Emily gets into her wedding dress in one of the many gorgeous bathrooms in this old farm house…

Lovely day for a wedding!

Pretty bouquet…

A smile from the groom…

Can you believe this is a homemade cake?! So pretty!

The groom’s cake…(cool, right?)

The exchanging of vows…

Just married!

A first dance.

Check out the boots!

Merrick nd Emily, I am so happy for the both of you, It took you guys a long journey to find each other, but wasnt the wait worth it…Ilove the photos. Susan did an amazing job and getting him to smile was all Emily’s doing. That was the happiest I have EVER seen him. Love you both.

Beautiful pictures on such a special day.
Emily, Merrick and Marcus,I viewed your beautiful wedding pictures with tears pouring out of my eyes. I sincerely wish I could have been there to watch the two of you promise your vows to each other. Maybe not, I probably would have sobbed all the way through the ceremony. The pictures are wonderful—Emily you made a beautiful bride and I was so pleased to see my friend Merrick looking the Dashing Dude. My heartfelt best wishes for a long and happy life together—Brenda Lawrence—The Canuck
