Crystal Coast Wedding Salon and the After Party at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium! | Eastern NC wedding photographer
Posted on January 11, 2010
I think the Crystal Coast Wedding Salon at the Atlantic Beach Sheraton this past Saturday was by far the best way to kick off 2010. We spent the last couple of weeks creating our display in preparation for the Salon and other bridal shows we’re participating in this month. The Crystal Coast Wedding Salon is put on by Eric Hause of Crystal Coast Bride. We had a great time meeting brides and grooms and moms and dads at the Salon and photographing them all day long and into the night at the After Party held at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium. Here is our photo recap of the day!

Meeting bride Chelsea with her mom and maid of honor. We’re very excited to be photographing Chelsea’s wedding on June 5th at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium!

Alex & Brett’s - love love love their cakes!

Bridal By the Sea - as always, Rachel Munro and her staff present stunning designs!

La Fete - love the contrasty colors. Lots of drama and flair, which is right up my alley!

The Sheraton Atlantic Beach had a bright and beautiful display.

Brides and their guests chat with vendors and enjoy the yummy food…

The violinists were wonderful.

The florists of course had exquisite displays…
Here’s a dramatic centerpiece by Designs by Ernest.

And The English Rose did a gorgeous job on their Salon space…

After the Salon, it was on to the After Party at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium with dinner (catered by Floyd’s 1921)

We caught up with bride Chelsea along with her parents and maid of honor Emily at the After Party and got photos of them throughout the night!

Eric Hause of Crystal Coast Bride acts as emcee during the contests for door prizes.

And the brides and grooms were in it to win it!

The After Party was a great end to a wonderful wedding-filled day.

Sean & Jenny’s Emerald Isle wedding | Emerald Isle wedding photographer
Posted on December 16, 2009
On October 4, 2009, Sean and Jenny were married on the beach and held an intimate reception at a beach house overlooking the water. They had absolutely gorgeous weather and a beautiful blue sky on their big day. And I don’t know about you, but I think Jenny looks like a stunning classic beauty! Doesn’t she look like she could fit right in with the old 1940’s Hollywood glamour era? :) Enjoy the photos!

Tony & Jenn, a wedding preview | Morehead City, Atlantic Beach wedding photographer
Posted on October 1, 2009
I spent an entire day with Tony and Jenn this past Saturday, documenting every smile and every tear on their beautiful wedding day. The ceremony was held at St. Egbert’s Church in Morehead City, the bridal party shots were taken at Fort Macon, and the fun fun fun reception took place at the pretty Coral Bay Club. There were so many amazing shots of this gorgeous couple, I had to pick just a few to share! Mr. & Mrs. Martin, thank you so much for letting me be part of your wonderful day. Please remember to leave a comment congratulating the newlyweds!
Jenn gets her make up done…it was beautiful!

The shoes!

Tony wrote Jenn a poem for their wedding day. Incredibly sweet, right?

Tony wears the new watch his bride gave to him at their rehearsal dinner.

Stunning bride…

Jenn made these herself!

The exchanging of vows…

The new Mr. & Mrs. Martin!

We headed over to Fort Macon for photos of the bridal party and we were lucky enough to get the shots before it started raining!

I loved this shot of the bride and groom…

Such a romantic shot with the way her hair is moving in the wind and the forehead kiss!

Jenn & Tony break it down for a choreographed first dance…

Then slow it down to the song “First Dance” by Corey Smith (VERY good song!)…

A toast…

Tony smiles with his mom during the Mother/Son dance…

And Jenn sheds happy tears dancing with her dad…

Their guests clearly enjoyed the party ![]()

And everyone danced into the night. (O-H-I-O!)

Congratulations Jenn & Tony. You guys rock!

This past Saturday I had a blast at Merrick & Emily’s wedding held at a beauitfully renovated old farm house in Bowdon, GA. This was a particularly special wedding to be a part of since Emily is a long-time family friend that I’ve known for a good part of my life! There were MANY great photos to choose from…enjoy & please leave a comment congratulating Merrick & Emily!
Emily’s bridal preparation took place at the Davis Clay Salon in Douglasville, GA where she drank a glass of wine while having her hair and make-up done.

I love this shot of Emily’s engagement ring…

On the other side of their toasting flutes…the Harley Davidson logo…

Emily gets into her wedding dress in one of the many gorgeous bathrooms in this old farm house…

Lovely day for a wedding!

Pretty bouquet…

A smile from the groom…

Can you believe this is a homemade cake?! So pretty!

The groom’s cake…(cool, right?)

The exchanging of vows…

On July 18, 2009, Amy and David hosted their wedding at the White Oak River Bistro in Swansboro. They are a great couple and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of their day. Some of my favorite shots from their wedding were of the ceremony…

David’s dad choking up during his speech was one of my favorite parts of the reception.

And I love this garter shot! Check out the flash from the guest’s camera!

And lastly, some detail shots. :)

Thank you Amy & David for letting me be part of your special day!
